Outsourced sales and marketing specialists, Complete One have been conducting extensive market research in recent weeks after initial contract talks with a potential new client. There has been an incredible amount of work going on behind the scenes, carefully planning the best strategy for both company and client success. With early results exceeding expectations, and extremely positive feedback from consumers, Mr Lowes put pen to paper and set the ball rolling for Complete One to launch the campaign officially on February 20th.

This is a massive first step towards the outsourced sales and marketing specialists achieving their goals for this year. Expanding their client portfolio was one of Mr Lowes priorities for 2017, as he believes that this will prove to be a springboard for the firm’s expansion. Since their launch in 2012, Complete One has extended their market reach into Edinburgh, Sheffield and Glasgow and this year, Mr Lowes is focusing his attention on further extending the firm’s market reach into new cities throughout the UK.

“The testing went well, and I am confident we will meet the targets we have been set,” stated, Mr Lowes. The early stage market research proved to be tremendously successful, and Complete One have used data and feedback to make a few small changes ahead of the official launch. “One of the keys to making a new campaign launch successful is identifying the right people to work on the project, and I am confident we have put together a group of our strongest contractors,” said Mr Lowes.

Complete One: The Power of Goal Setting

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes advocates the power of goal setting, and encourages budding entrepreneurs to set goals that keep them motivated.

2016 was a record-breaking year at Complete One who exceeded the £1million turnover target.  The focus for 2017 is now firmly on growth.  “Last year we invested a lot of time into setting up a reliable infrastructure, concentrating on nurturing and developing the group of talented and ambitious individuals we work with.” Said Glen Lowes, Managing Director at Complete One.    Mr Lowes credits the progress at Complete One to goal setting.  The award-winning entrepreneur and business owner consistently sets new goals and argues that people should not underestimate the power of goal setting, particularly targets that encourage motivation.

Mr Lowes has revealed the basics for effective goal setting as follows:

1. Specific
Setting specific goals is vital! It’s crucial to consider what you want to accomplish, what it will take to get there and vitally why you want to achieve that goal.  Mr Lowes believes that people fail to follow through with their goals because they are too vague.  “People who set vague goals never go anywhere.” Said Mr Lowes.

2. Measurable
Measurable goals are imperative as it allows someone to track their progress.  If someone can see that they are improving then, it will motivate them to keep going.

3. Attainable
For someone to stick to their goals, they have to believe that they can achieve it, claims Mr Lowes.  While it’s key that goals are exciting and motivating, Complete One's Managing Director, Glen Lowes, argues that people need to set goals that are both attainable and exciting. Boring goals are not motivating and will fail to inspire people to take action.

4. Realistic
At Complete One they encourage their staff and contractors to dream big and set big goals. However, Mr Lowes reiterates the importance of making those goals realistic.   Goals that are too unrealistic will fall through.  It’s vital to start slow, take action, and keep moving forward claims Mr Lowes.

5. Timely
Having a deadline will intensify focus and motivation.  Working under the constraints of a time limit will force you to produce results, fast.

When speaking about the company goals for 2017, Mr Lowes revealed his personal goals for the year, which are centred on developing his role as a mentor and coach.  “One of the greatest pleasures I get from being a business owner is playing a role in the career development of fellow professionals.  I am invested in the progress of the people I coach and mentor.  I gain a real sense of gratification in helping others to succeed, and this year I am committed to broadening my network.” Said Mr Lowes.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. The company specialises in a personalised form of direct marketing which allows them to make long-lasting connections with consumers on behalf of their clients’ brands. Complete One highlight the 6 differences between great and bad leaders

Newcastle-based, direct marketing and sales specialists, Complete One believe that strong leadership is the foundation for success in any area of life. Here they have highlighted the 6 differences between great and bad leaders.

Complete One believe that excelling in leadership will result in success. As an expanding company that frequently talent scout, one of the main transferable skills they look for is the ability to lead. Here, Complete One examines the 6 differences between great and bad leaders.
1. Great leaders see potential in people and can nurture it.
Bad leaders fail to identify potential, and instead only focus on the negative, and find fault.
2. Great leaders are always positive and encourage others to do better.
Bad leaders are negative, and are always blaming others for their failures rather than taking responsibility,
3. Great leaders motivate and inspire people to learn, grow and develop.
Bad leaders are only interested in their own progression; they aren’t concerned about the growth of others.
4. Great leaders have the ability to recognise people's strengths and place the best people in the right positions to help them perform well.
Bad leaders exploit people to the benefit of themselves.
5. Great leaders are open to new ideas and are always looking to innovate and improve.
Bad leaders fear change and are unwilling to take any risks.
6. Great leaders appreciate the efforts of their team and recognise and reward them for those efforts.
Bad leaders don’t value their team, and they have the attitude that every member of their team is replaceable.
Since their launch in 2012, Complete One has continued to go from strength to strength. In 2016, the firm broke the £1 million turnover barrier, a goal they have been working towards all year.  Mr Lowes attributes the firm's success to their focus on leadership. At Complete One, leadership is a focal point of their coaching and mentoring program. Managing Director, Glen Lowes, takes a hands-on approach, actively advising and guiding young professionals, educating them on the pillars of leadership, and how to lead and motivate others.
“I believe that every successful business is built on solid leadership foundations and those good leaders are imperative for a business to succeed and prosper.” Said Managing Director, Glen Lowes.

What does it take to be successful? Complete One shares their five traits for success

With many young entrepreneurs looking for guidance on their journey towards success, Newcastle’s premier marketing firm Complete One share their top 5 traits linked to success.

Being able to develop a coercive team environment can be instrumental to businesses when looking to achieve success. Complete One is no stranger to managing successful marketing campaigns, and they attribute part of their success to attracting and retaining entrepreneurially minded people.

Complete One is confident their free workshops assist entrepreneurs in achieving success in their daily projects. A popular free workshop ran for the company’s independent contractors explores the top 5 traits of successful people.  The firm hopes to inspire healthy habits in young entrepreneurs.

Complete One share the top 5 traits and qualities that are most heavily linked to successful people:

1. Capacity - Initial assessments on individual ability and suitability of task are essential on the businesses journey to success. While it is great to challenge people, it can be detrimental to personal development if a task is unachievable. Clear communication on daily duties will allow an individual to assess if they are suitable for a job, and they should be encouraged to ask for help when needed.

2. Attitude – A positive attitude is essential when approaching a particular task. People who practice positive behaviours and thoughts are more successful than those who are unable to tackle obstacles mentally. The firm assesses attitudes by placing individuals in set scenarios and observing actions and responses to obstacles they encounter. The firm offers additional coaching on how to improve their coping strategies when faced with challenging situations.

3. Passion – Passion will push an individual through adverse situations. People who select projects close to their personal ideals can naturally demonstrate enthusiasm and will achieve more success. Generally speaking, entrepreneurs should source business opportunities which match their overriding beliefs and goals.

4. Character – When faced with challenging situations, a person's character will keep them on the right track to achieving goals while maintaining integrity. Entrepreneurs who are looking to succeed need to demonstrate robust and trustworthy characteristics to open further business opportunities. Complete One believes a commitment to developing a steadfast company culture should lie with the company.

5. Teamwork – Most people will need to integrate into a team during a project. Individuals who can communicate their weaknesses and promote personal strengths will become the stronger team members. Successful teams demonstrate respect for each person involved in a project. A team should be briefed individually on their role, and understand the importance of each stage of development. Complete One has found that individual accountability is key to a team’s success.

Complete One is keen to boost their Independent Contractors potential as it transfers into their sales ability. The firm can secure repeat business through their capacity to maintain Newcastle’s top sales people.

Are you living up to the responsibility you have to your customers?

For a business to maintain their customer-centricity, direct sales and marketing firm Complete One recommends business owners to evaluate the contribution they are making to consumers on a daily basis.

Complete One are confident that all aspects of a business need to face their responsibility to consumers. In a customer-focused business model, it is important that each department is in tune with the company's overarching brand message, and ensure that their individual processes reiterate the message to offer a consistent service throughout every consumer touch point. Consumers are all about the ‘brand experience,' and this can be a fundamental reason why businesses are struggling to establish brand loyalty.

Complete One offers a five-step guide to developing a stronger customer-centric business:

1.    Complete One believes corporate goals can be a quick initial step to draw attention to consumer contribution. Once the goal has been set, it is important to communicate it throughout the business, and it can be beneficial to occasionally share this with the consumer.

2.    Complete One advises businesses to create accountability throughout all departments by requesting information on how precisely they contributed to the customer experience on a specific day. Use the feedback from these results to gauge the effectiveness of current processes, and offer
additional support where needed.

3.    Follow-up is crucial, and it is important to offer simple meetings that focus on consumer contributions. Use these meetings to brainstorm how to streamline processes, as it is important to always take the perspective of the buyer.

4.    Gather market research on consumer desires. Complete One suggests that businesses should ensure that they are developing strategies on exactly what the customer wants, as opposed to what the company wants the consumer to want.

5.    Share the news when the company is getting it spot on, or making progress towards a customer experience goal.  Social Media platforms are perfect for bragging.

Newcastle-based Complete One is an award-winning events promotions firm based in the heart of Newcastle's city centre. Their person to person promotions is renowned for creating amazing results. The company's clients are often a walking billboard for their ability to devise out of the box marketing strategies that guarantees  ROI.

Complete One is confident in their capacity to develop customer-centric campaigns as their approach is solely based on enhancing the customer experience.  Each client interaction is tailored on the spot, and the firm delivers effective and personalised opportunities for brands to be promoted in a selected and accurately targeted area.

Get the inside scoop from Complete One MD Glen Lowes

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes recently sat down for a one-on-one interview where he revealed his evolution as a business owner and his goals for the future.

After the firm’s recent expansion into Glasgow, Newcastle-based events promotions firm, Complete One have moved one step closer to their goals for 2016.  Entrepreneur and Managing Director, Glen Lowes took time out of his busy schedule to reveal the inside scoop.

1) What do you think is the biggest factor that has contributed to Complete One’s continued success?

“I think that always wanting to beat ourselves and what I mean by that is every week/month/year we have goals to improve on what we have done before. The name ‘Complete One’ actually comes from the standards that we want to hold ourselves to. This is a goal we have always hit as for every client we have represented we have been their number one provider of customers using the face-to-face channel.”

2) If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice when you were just starting out, what would it be?

“Networking! This is one thing that I have really invested a lot of time into over the last two years. Firstly, I recommend finding the coaches or mentors that are right for you and define the level you want to get to. Then you have to travel and watch them work. One of my main coaches is currently based in LA and it would have been very easy for me to say it’s too far and make an excuse not to go. Glen in 2012, 2013 and 2014 would have made that excuse, but not today. If you are serious about your goals you will find a way to make it happen.”

3) What motivates you?

“I think it is very easy to become comfortable when you have reached a certain level of success, or what other people would deem success. This is why I like to always re-set goals and set myself new targets.  I stay motivated by constantly setting new goals and pushing myself. Also, my main motivation right now is helping and seeing other people hit and achieve their goals. I love the people I work with, they motivate me so much to come in everyday and improve myself so I can help them.”

4) What are your long-terms goals?

“My long-term goals have changed the past few years since I have educated myself more in business and when I realised what was actually possible. I plan on making Complete One a company that has a global reach.  I have really enjoyed the past few years being able to develop budding entrepreneurs and having interests in other businesses in the same industry. Over the next few years I am planning on investing in other industries such as Entertainment, Property and a Hire company; the details of which I am keeping under my hat just for the time being.

I love setting goals and figuring out how to hit them, it is still the best feeling, it never gets old!”

5) What do you enjoy most about being a business owner?

Being a business owner is something that I have always wanted to be since a young age. I remember the teachers at school telling me that I needed to pass my exams to get a job and I argued back that I didn’t want a job because it would be like having teachers forever.  Don’t get me wrong as a business owner I love learning, but now it’s my choice and my subject.

The thought even as a kid of total freedom and being completely in control of my own future has always excited me. I love being in control of my own future, income, the direction of my company and my career prospects.”
