Complete One release details for forthcoming R&R trip

Direct marketing firm, Complete One have released the details for their eagerly anticipated R&R trip, confirming that this year's location is Tenerife, with the trip set to take place on October 13th to 16th. 

To date, 2016 has been incredibly successful for Complete One, seeing Managing Director Glen Lowes awarded with the 20/20 Overall Performance Award at the 2016 Sales & Marketing Awards Gala. There was also the acquisition of a new client within the finance sector - diversifying and expanding the firm's client portfolio while initiating phenomenal growth. 

Managing Director at Complete One Glen Lowes disclosed the details, confirming that the R&R Trip will see the firm fly out to Tenerife for a weekend of sunshine and relaxation. The trip which will run from the 13th to the 16th of October will provide the MD and a handpicked selection of the firm’s top performing contractors and administrators with the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of the office environment for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

This is the second R&R event that Complete One have held this year.  The first being a future business owners R&R retreat, held in the first financial quarter. The event was held at Felmoor Park in Northumberland over March 18th to 20th, with the location providing a surrounding of idyllic scenery and a quiet getaway with cabins and hot tubs.

Complete One will fly out to Spain to spend the weekend in Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. The attendees will stay at the 5 star Gran Melia, voted the best resort in Spain. The wonderful climate makes it a great destination all year round, and Tenerife is packed with things to see and do including its beautiful coastlines, mountains, fantastic golden black sand beaches. The attendees can expect an action packed weekend, with water sports, excursions and chilling out on the beach.

Complete One MD Glen Lowes flies out to LA for Reconnaissance Mission

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes flew out to LA last week to spend time with one of the leading sales and marketing professionals in the industry. 

Glen jetted out to Los Angeles to spend 5 days in the company of one of the most prominent professionals in direct sales and marketing industry.  The trip was planned back in May during the 2016 Black Tie Awards Gala in London where Glen received a prestigious accolade, picking up the 20/20 Overall Performance Award. 

Travelling over 5000 miles, during the 5-day trip Glen spent the majority of his time at a marketing agency in Orange Country, California.  California is the seventh biggest economy in the world, and the largest in the US.  With a population of 3 million, Orange County is a great location for recruitment due to its deep talent pool.  Glen got first hand experience of how the individual ran his business day to day, his schedule, critical conversations, motivational meetings, development workshops, and team building sessions.  It wasn’t all business though; Glen got to bask in the sunshine of Orange County, visiting Huntington Beach, as well as visiting other notable landmarks the OC had to offer.    

Glen is committed to continued personal development as he recognises that this is crucial to the success of Complete One.  He takes advantage of every opportunity to expand his network and to learn from fellow professionals.  During his time in LA he spent time with many budding entrepreneurs and business owners, and got to experience how the industry works in the US.  The trip allowed Glen to form new networking connections and solidify some he made at the Awards Gala. 

At Complete One they have big goals for 2016 as they look to extend their market reach into new cities and break the £1million turnover barrier.  The trip to LA provided great insight for Glen, getting to experience the habits and routine of someone who has experience of coaching and mentoring hundreds of entrepreneurs, overseeing over multiple offices and expansion into multiple cities and countries. 

“The trip proved to be a huge success and we have made plans to make it a quarterly event.  It’s always really constructive to experience how someone else operates, and having the chance to pick their brain.  I can’t wait to go back!” said Glen.

MD at Complete One returns from London awards ceremony with incredible determination

Following Complete One’s attendance at an industry awards ceremony in London, Managing Director Glen Lowes has returned with incredible determination, and is ready to make 2016 a record breaking year. 

On Saturday 21st May, Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes, along with one of the firm’s top performing contractors and award nominee Jiří Holouš, travelled to London to attended the exclusive, invitation-only Black Tie Awards Gala.  Held at the 5 Star Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair, the Black Tie event was eagerly anticipated by those at Complete One, as the ceremony is the stand out event in the sales and marketing calendar. “All the hard work and effort over the last 12 months builds up to this one night,” said Glen when commenting on the event.   

The evening started off with a champagne reception on arrival, allowing attendees the chance to chat and network before the evening’s ceremony commenced.  The champagne reception was followed by a sit-down three-course dinner in the Ballroom, keynote speakers, awards and on-going entertainment. 

Awards given out on the night included: ‘Rookie Business Owner of the Year’, ‘20/20 Performance Award’, ‘Most Improved Business Owner’, and the prestigious ‘Business Owner of the Year Award’.  Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes picked up the ‘20/20 Performance Award’, which is for overall performance, recognising the great results Complete One have achieved over the last year which includes growing their client portfolio and extending their market reach.  This is the fourth year in a row that Glen Lowes has won this award, illustrating the tremendous consistency of success at Complete One. “While it was great to be given this award again, I have my eyes on the main prize and I am determined to do whatever it takes to pick up the ‘Business Owner of the Year’ award at next year’s ceremony,” said Glen Lowes speaking after his award win. One of the firm’s top performing contractors, Jiří Holouš also received an award for being one of the top 10 future business owners.

Complete One host future business owners R&R weekend

 Managing Director at Newcastle-based event promotions firm, Complete One, Glen Lowes, has hailed the success of the firm’s first future business owners event, and believes it will now become an annual event in the firm’s business calendar. 

Glen Lowes decided to host the event to bring together the top talent at Complete One, and their business associates in Edinburgh and Sheffield, recognising the rising stars and the top performers. The decision to host the event was spurred by the idea of providing some much needed R&R time as well as an opportunity for attendees to build relationships outside of the office environment, and interact with fellow sales and marketing professionals who are on the same entrepreneurial journey.  “My main objective for the future business owners event was to recognise those individuals who are doing a great job, and to host a fun and relaxing weekend where they could unwind and get to know each other on a personal as well as professional level,” commented Glen Lowes. 

Hosted at Felmoor Park in Northumberland over March 18th to 20th, just a short distance from the firm’s headquarters, the location provided a surrounding of idyllic scenery, and a quiet getaway with cabins and hot tubs. While there was no strict itinerary for the event, with the emphasis more on fun and relaxation, there was a slight business theme, with the business owners in attendance running educational workshops with tips on personal development and networking. Networking was an especially important topic as the weekend presented an incredible opportunity for the budding entrepreneurs to build a solid networking portfolio. 

The feedback Glen Lowes has received since the event has made him extremely hopeful that this will now become an annual event and will continue to grow, year on year.

MD at Complete One Glen Lowes travels to London for 3-day business event

Managing Director of Complete One, travels to London to attend a 3-day business event within the outsourced sales and marketing industry.

Managing Director of events marketing and promotions firm, Complete One, travelled from Newcastle to London to attend a 3-day business event from Friday 22nd January and Sunday 24th January 2016. Guests attended the first two days of the conference by invitation only, however the final day was open to a wider audience group of businessmen and women.

As well as the conference offering a chance to network with other business professionals, it was an opportunity for business owners to listen to speeches from some of the industry’s top performing business experts, to learn from their experiences, and use the newfound inspiration to help develop their own business and achieve greater success in 2016. The conference ran a series of workshops and talks, with the focus around business development and investing in people. 

“The conference was extremely educational and I took away a wealth of knowledge to apply into my business model to ensure 2016 is a success for Complete One,” said Glen Lowes, Managing Director of the firm. “I love travelling to these events because as well as it being an opportunity to gain further business knowledge, it is also a chance to network with other entrepreneurs and business owners within the industry,’ added MD Glen Lowes.

The event was also a great opportunity for networking. For an entrepreneur, networking is a key activity that is not only fun, but critical to personal growth and business development. Complete One MD Glen Lowes invited to Whisky & Cigars evening



Complete One Managing Director Glen Lowes, along with a specially selected group of top performing business owners in the sales and marketing industry were invited to attend an exclusive Whisky and Cigars evening at the Bulgari Hotel, London. 

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes, was recgonised for the incredible performance of the firm over the last 12 months with an invite to an exclusive Whisky and Cigars evening at the Bulagari Hotel London.  Speaking after the event Glen said,  “It was a great honor to be invited to the event in London.  It’s nice to be recognized by other professionals within the sales and marketing industry and that my achievements at Complete One are being noticed.”

The evening was held at the 5-star Bulgari Hotel, London.  Those in attendance had the opportunity to taste a selection of special Japanese Whiskies and cigars.  As well as being a prestigious social event, the evening provided the opportunity for the business owners gathered together to form some new networking links.  Glen made sure to capitalise on the opportunity of being in a room with some of the most successful sales and marketing professionals in the UK, by networking with and building relationships to ensure he strengthened his networking contact list.  As an entrepreneurs, networking is one of the most important skills to master and it is something that I constantly reinforce to the contractors we work with at Complete One. “ Said Glen.

Complete One MD Takes Great Inspiration After Attending 3-Day Business Event

Following 12 months where the firm have experienced incredible success and expanded into 2 new locations, Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes was invited to attend an exclusive 3-day business event in Birmingham.

Many of the UK's top business owners within the sales and marketing industry, as well as some of its rising stars, were invited to Birmingham which was the host city for this event.The event was scheduled over 3 days from 3rd to 5th of September.

The exclusive event boasted many guest speakers, some of which flew in especially.
The event was scheduled to gather together many of the UK's leaders in the sales and marketing industry, including Complete One. The primary objective was to teach and develop, but also to provide an environment for people to build new networking relationships as well as nurturing existing ones.Approaching the last financial quarter of the year it was a chance to see where everyone was at, reflect on what they have achieved to date and assess goals for the run up to the end of the year.

Day 1 was tailored to business owners that had experienced expansion.The purpose of the day was to provide advice and guidance on how to successfully expand a business and to ensure that any new offices being opened were being done so in the most effective and efficient way. With a firm strategy in place, business owners must ensure that they would have the best chance possible of succeeding.The guest speakers covered an array of topics including; the importance of spending time in new offices and having a hands-on approach in all expansions, learning how to rebound after setbacks as well as how to drive a business forward.

Day 2 was aimed at the business as a whole.One of the focal points was knowing when to go back to basics.The speaker stressed that sometimes people, not just in business, try and overcomplicate things when instead the best results tend to come from keeping it simple. Other subjects that were covered included setting targets and goals for development, driving sales and how to overcome factors that stop momentum.

The third day was more of a socialising event, with dinner and drinks at the Laurent-Perrier Champagne bar.

"I always feel incredibly fortunate whenever I am involved in events like the one in Birmingham.The topics covered, particularly on day 1, was incredibly relevant for myself and the company, as we will be looking to further expand the Complete One brand over the next 12 to 18 months.Having the opportunity to hear from guest speakers who are at the top of their game is very inspiring and I always come away from these events feeling motivated and inspired," said Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes.
