Complete One inspired by Leicester City’s Premier League win

At the beginning of the 2015/2016 Premier League season, Leicester City were a staggering 5000/1 bet to win.  However, after the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham on May 2nd , the underdogs clinched the title.  Newcastle-based event marketing firm, Complete One has been inspired by the Leicester City Story, and used it as motivation.

From 5000/1 outsiders to champions with two matches to spare, the Leicester City story is one of the most remarkable in Premier League history; and a feat that will unlikely be repeated anytime soon.  Highlighting just how inconceivable the Leicester City story is, the odds for Elvis being found alive were 2500/1, and the Loch Ness monster being found was 1500/1.  It is 21 years since any team out of the so called “big clubs” (Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United) have won the top-flight title. The dominance of the big clubs has been down to financial investments, and the constraints of others. English football has become a big-money business with billions of pounds being invested from TV deals, the latest of which is worth £5.136 billion (www.bbc.co.uk) and a continued increased spend from clubs in every transfer window.  It was considered unthinkable that any team could break the dominance of the traditional elite clubs, however Leicester certainly defied financial logic.

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes was inspired by the Leicester City story and used it as inspiration for one of the company’s morning meetings.  During the meeting Glen Lowes outlined all the things that were supposedly more likely to happen, and reinforced the fact that their win was proof that teamwork, dedication and hard work can overcome anything. “I am a massive football fan and Leicester City’s win was such a great result for the world of football, showing that in a very money driven time, hard work, determination and an unstoppable team spirit can overcome the odds. ”

Complete One is a young, ambitious and dynamic outsourced sales and marketing company, specialising in customer acquisition through in-person promotions.  Their expertise lies in increasing market share and raising brand awareness through face-to-face promotional marketing and sales campaigns, at high profile events and venues.  In a world of ever advancing technologies, the firm offers their clients something that is often lacking in today’s digital world, the personal touch.  In the highly competitive marketing industry, Complete One always promotes the importance of a strong work ethic, desire to succeed and working as a team.  The once in a lifetime Leicester City story is inspirational and Complete One are using that story to inspire and motivate their contractors to succeed.

Complete One Reveal How Smart Entrepreneurs Manage Risk

The risk associated with entrepreneurship has a huge impact on how many people follow their business dreams. To help people overcome the risk of entrepreneurship and gain greater control of the world around them, Complete One has revealed the following advice.

Entrepreneurship is thought of as a risky move because there is no ‘safety net’.  Successful entrepreneurs tend to share common characteristics such as being risk takers and big dreamers. However the smart ones know how to maneuver through tough times and analyse potential risks and weight up whether the pay off is worth it before taking the leap.
Complete One has shared their advice on managing risk as an entrepreneur.

1. Accepting uncertainty

Despite a common belief that entrepreneurs are risk-takers, research has found otherwise.  A study published by the Halle Institute for Economics in June found that budding entrepreneurs are no more tolerant of risk than others. However, the study did show that entrepreneurs do become more comfortable with risk over time.
Entrepreneurs are accepting that there is an element of risk with any new business launch and they recognise that innovation and achievements rarely happen without some risk.
For entrepreneurs risk isn’t viewed negatively, it is perceived to be a pivotal part in creating something worthwhile.

2. Balance of probabilities

Successful entrepreneurs understand and utilise risk management. They don’t take more risks than the average entrepreneur, but instead look for opportunities where if they fall short the loss won’t be great, but if they win the benefits will be tremendous.
The best entrepreneurs are shrewd and know now to bet more than they can afford to lose. If Plan A doesn’t work, they have Plan B, C and D as a backup.

3. Seeking out and pursuing opportunities

Successful entrepreneurs do not limit their goals and ambitions. While savvy entrepreneurs understand their limits, they don’t let this stop them pursuing their vision.
Long-time professor at Harvard Business School, Howard Stevenson, wrote that entrepreneurship is ‘the pursuit of opportunity beyond resources controlled’.
Entrepreneurs identify a gap in the market and do whatever it takes to make a business option come about, even if they don’t have all of the necessary resources at hand.

4. Wanting to be in charge of their own destiny

While the majority of the population are in search of job security, entrepreneurs know that working for a major corporation doesn’t guarantee job security. They would rather be in charge of their own destiny and they have the ambition, self-confidence and commitment to go it alone, despite the risk of failure.

5. Understanding the value of ‘on the job’ training

While many companies will pigeonhole certain individuals as only being suitable for limited roles, successful entrepreneurs are willing to go out on their own and obtain the vital on-the-job training that can help propel them to success. Being an entrepreneur and business owner provides someone with the opportunity to learn far more and develop much faster than they otherwise would.

Supporters of entrepreneurship, Complete One understands that it takes a lot of courage and persistence to overcome the risks associated with entrepreneurship and to feel comfortable in business.

Guests attended the first two days of the conference by invitation only, however the final day was open to a wider audience group of businessmen and women.

As well as the conference offering a chance to network with other business professionals, it was an opportunity for business owners to listen to speeches from some of the industry’s top performing business experts, to learn from their experiences, and use the newfound inspiration to help develop their own business and achieve greater success in 2016. The event was also a great opportunity for networking. For an entrepreneur, networking is a key activity that is not only fun, but critical to personal growth and business development. Small business is all about networking, building relationships and taking action.  Networking for small business growth must be strategic and focused, which is why the event at the weekend was a good opportunity for it to happen.  Complete One believe that everything the firm does can be driven by the intention to grow the business, and this 3-day conference was a great networking opportunity.

Complete One asks: Could Facebook's new features make it a useful customer service platform?

Newcastle-based sales and marketing firm, Complete One has looked into Facebook’s new features and asks whether this could make the social media site a useful customer service platform.

This month, Facebook revealed that it is now home to 50 million active business pages. This has led the social media site to concentrate on making itself more business-friendly. The site recently introduced the messaging functionality that allows Pages to facilitate communication between users and businesses as well as a prominent call-to-action button. However, Facebook is not focusing on improving customer service features. Here, Complete One have revealed the new Facebook features which could make a difference to customer service on the platform.

Response time display:
Facebook now displays average response times on a page and admins can also change this figure. Meaning that if a Page typically responds to messages within an hour, the can set their visible response time to within a day and set customer expectations accordingly. Businesses can also configure an “Away” mode to let customers know that they are not currently available to respond to messages as quickly as usual, and can create Away Messages and Instant Replies, which function like email autoresponders.

A redesigned inbox
:  The redesigned inbox makes it easy for Page admins to view past messages from a particular user, and to quickly view basic profile information, like location, alongside the user’s message. Additionally, Page admins are now able to tag conversations and add notes about users.

New comment tools:
Facebook has created a new tool that businesses can use to monitor and respond to comments left on their Pages. Using this tool, Page admins can identify comments that need to be responded to, quickly view information about the user who posted the comment, and manage workflow, like marking comments as responded to.

Complete One highlights how it is great that Facebook are addressing these customer service techniques and helping to aid businesses in their customer service routines. The firm believe that consumers want communication across multiple platforms and Facebook is a great method to achieve this. However, the firm believes that personalised, face-to-face customer service will always be the best and most direct method. Complete One believes that consumers want that human interaction when they have a query or a problem as opposed to someone behind a computer screen.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. The firm specialise in a personalised form of marketing whereby they are able to represent their clients’ brands through face-to-face marketing campaigns. By connecting with consumers on a one-to-one basis the firm are able to establish long-lasting and personal business relationships between brand and consumer. This often leads to increased customer acquisition, brand awareness and brand loyalty for their clients.

Complete One: Is direct marketing the most effective form of marketing?

With the dominance of online platforms in the current digital age of smart devices, internet and social media, Complete One believe that marketing strategies can become lost along the way as the direct aspect is lost through mass targeting campaigns.  The purpose of marketing is to create exposure for a brand in a manner that still makes the consumer feel that it was designs specifically for them.  By using simple personalisation methods, emails can include individual’s names, can be targeted for a geographical location and can even engage on a amore personal level by including personal shopping links.

Direct Marketing can take many forms and can be effective for those businesses that have a small budget but still looking to achieve great results.  Direct Marketing can take many forms, Complete One share their quick guide on direct marketing methods, to help select the platform best suited to different business models;

Direct Response Advertising -  Direct Response Advertising is advertising with a goal of getting the prospect to order the product directly from the ad. Think infomercials that are solely designed to sell products to the consumer, the advertisements will focus on product strengths, price savings and a contact telephone number to place the order directly.  These infomercials’ will usually take the form of high cost TV slots.

Face to Face Promotions - By taking a product or service directly to the market with a human billboard ready to complete demonstrations, interact with the consumer by answering questions and even completing the sale onsite can build confidence in a brand and relax the consumer as the promotional venue will be in a place of relaxed atmosphere, easily reachable by the consumer.

Social Media - By offering a platform to reach millions of consumers at the touch of a button, it allows extremely high engagement levels for the consumer through liking, sharing, retweeting to name a few.  Businesses can increase brand awareness through these channels’ but need to focus on indirect direct sales so not to alienate their consumers.  By utilizing demonstrations, how to guides, funny clips it will create awareness and traffic towards websites or stores better tailored to selling a product.

Direct Marketing strategies especially face to face promotions can carry low overheads in comparison to indirect marketing strategies.  Complete One based in Newcastle offer a zero risk option for businesses looking to create exposure, develop brand loyalists and increase customer base, the firm has an elite team of independent sales advisors who guarantee a ROI and are confident in their ability they offer a no win no fee style package for those looking to try their services.

Rumors surface of potential Complete One expansion into Leeds

Following a business trip to Leeds where the firm conducted market research, rumors have now surfaced that Leeds will the city where the firm opens their fifth office.

Complete One was launched in Newcastle back in 2012 by Managing Director Glen Lowes.  They identified a gap in the market for more personalised and interactive marketing solutions.  The firm spent the first 18 months building strong foundations and laid some solid groundwork that acted as a springboard for the firm to begin blazing a trail through the direct marketing industry in 2014.    In Summer 2014 the firm expanded into Scotland, opening an office in the capital city, Edinburgh, a second Scottish office soon followed when 6 months later they opened an office in Scotland’s biggest city, Glasgow.  In July this year the firm opened their fourth office when they expanded into Sheffield.  The customer acquisition specialists are well on their way to establishing themselves as a dominant force in the direct marketing industry and they have plans to keep expanding following a recent business trip to Leeds.

Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes had marked Leeds as a potential location for the firm back in 2014, however that didn’t come into fruition with the firm focusing their efforts on the Scottish market, however following a recent business trip to the city, rumors have again surfaced that Complete One could be expanding their presence in Yorkshire, opening an office in Leeds, which would be their fifth in 3 years.

Looking ahead to 2016 Complete One want to expand further throughout the UK, but their main focus will be on breaking into the European market.  This has been a long-term goal for MD Glen Lowes and 2016 is the year they plan to make it happen.   “We have been making some incredible head-way in the UK and I believe breaking into the European market will mean the possibility of expanding and diversifying our client portfolio which is very exciting.” said Managing Director at Complete One Glen Lowes.

Complete One reviews: What makes an entrepreneur tick?

Managing Director of sales and marketing company Complete One, Glen Lowes, has been hugely inspired by the story of Jordan Belfort and how he has had such incredible successes along his entrepreneurial journey. Jordan Belfort now inspires others to have the same success through motivational speeches and workshops, so Complete One were excited when Jordan Belfort revealed on his personal blog what he believes makes an entrepreneur tick. The firm has reviewed Jordan Belfort’s findings:

There’s always room for improvement

Entrepreneurs tend to use their own needs to spot where something can be improved or created. For example, the story that Jordan Belfort highlights is that a man named Seth Goldman has a problem. He has just finished a run in Central Park, he’s thirsty, and he is looking for a bottled drink with more flavour and less sweetness. However, nothing like this exists. So, teaming up with a business partner, Barry Nalebuff, Goldman creates the exact product that he had been searching for, a better tasting tea, made with better ingredients. Entrepreneurs spot the need for a product in the market and then think: ‘If someone is going to make this then why can’t it be me?’ points out Complete One.

An entrepreneur is born

Entrepreneurs don’t have to show signs of extraordinary entrepreneurial skills in their youth. The beauty of entrepreneurship is that there is no age limit, points out Complete One. People become entrepreneurs because they are confronted with a problem and instead of ignoring it they get into thinking: ‘there’s got to be a better way.’ They start looking at the possibilities and then they start forming their vision.

Staying honest

Everybody sets their own standards and it is important for entrepreneurs to define theirs and then stick to them. Consumers are more likely to respect a business that upholds its values. Jordan Belfort points out that some standards need to be moved but not so far that it goes against the company’s original values completely; and that the product no longer upholds the values that originally attracted consumers.

Be flexible, but stick to your guns

Every business begins with an idea. Every business grows with a vision. Every business is sustained by customer loyalty. And every business fails when its vision is lost. Entrepreneurs often have to compromise. So entrepreneurs have to decide what they are willing to compromise on. This will play a big part in their future success.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. Complete One works closely with young professionals in order to help them develop into successful entrepreneurs. The firm’s Business Development Programme helps to teach young aspiring entrepreneurs the skills needed to be a success. Complete One looks up to people such as Jordan Belfort for inspiration on how to instil a sense of entrepreneurship in young people.

Complete One: How to bridge the marketing skills gap

According to a recently conducted survey, 30% of respondents said that finding marketers with the right skills is a nightmare. This is highly concerning for the industry because without the right talent, businesses are unable to progress and grow.

Complete One has revealed that marketers need a very unique set of skills as the role of the marketer is more stressful compared to five years ago. Marketers need to be open and collaborative as well as respond rapidly to the pace of change. The role of the marketer has become more complex and marketers therefore need to be able to deal with uncertainty and be comfortable with risk-taking.

These skills are crucial for marketing success because in today’s fast-paced business environment, consumers are able to connect with their favourite brands through multiple devices at any given time. Modern technology has created a 24-7, ‘always on’ environment in which customers expect brands to treat them as individuals and respond to them consistently across a range of channels. This creates a number of challenges which cannot be solved by technology, making the job of a marketer much more complex. Nearly half of people surveyed said that this complexity makes it harder to be effective.

Complete One believe that this has created a need for responsive teams. Regardless of technology it is ultimately people who make decisions, analyse data and build the customer experience. Complete One believes that in order to succeed, companies must build teams that can respond dynamically to customers’ need and expectations. This means that marketers must have core skills in areas such as content, mobile and social but also soft skills such as the ability to deal with change or spot opportunities.

Complete One therefore believes that the key to solving the problem and bridging the marketing skills gap lies in sharing skills and knowledge. Marketing tends to be seen as a standalone discipline that should be entirely managed by one team. But everyone within an organisation needs to develop their digital skills, points out the sales and marketing firm. Expertise in one specific channel can be valuable, but sharing skills and knowledge across multiple channels is always going to be the most effective way to increase general marketing capability within an organisation. Progressive firms are able to change the way they operate and are creating cross-departmental marketing teams. Working closely with the IT team for example is essential given the technology and complexity of data involved in today’s marketing.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. The firm specialises in a personalised form of direct marketing which allows them to make long-lasting connections with consumers, on behalf of their clients’ brands. By working closely alongside their clients the firm are able to design and implement campaigns which are tailored to their target consumers. The firm then takes these campaigns directly to consumers via face-to-face marketing techniques. This personal connection often leads to increased customer acquisition, brand awareness and brand loyalty.

Complete One ensures that their business is always full of fresh talent and that their marketing skills are always up-to-scratch with what the market demands by teaching their entire team a wide range of marketing and sales skills on a daily basis. This helps to improve their knowledge in the area and work together constructively to create the best campaigns for their clients’ brands.

Will the Government Deliver on Promises Made to SMEs? Ask Complete One

Throughout the election race, the conservative government made many promises to SMEs, stating that they would make their lives easier. With the government yet to deliver, Complete One review what the future now holds for UK SMEs and shares why people still shouldn’t be put off from business ownership.

In a recent survey sample of 400 small business owners by enterprise software company, Sage, it was revealed that there was an undisputable call for the government to deliver on key issues such as business rates and red tape for small businesses. Small company owners are calling for the Chancellor’s second financial statement in four months to realise pre-election promises for the sector given in the emergence budget on July 8th.

The economy and health of Britain’s small businesses were firmly on the election agenda and earned a significant amount of headlines following bold statements from David Cameron around his plans to give small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) a fair deal. This includes reducing red tape, lowering business rates for small businesses and new laws set to ensure no rises in income tax, VAT and national insurance. If these promises are kept, SMEs would be supported and it would make life much easier for current business owners and those looking to start out on their own.

Owning a business endows an entrepreneur with the independence and opportunity to control their own business and makes them accountable for their personal and business development. Other benefits of owning a business include, generating a chance to make a difference, high earnings and helping people to reach their full potential and pursue their interests.  Complete One believes people should still follow their business dreams and not be put off from entrepreneurship and business ownership.

‘As a business owner, you are your own boss and are responsible for making business decisions.  In the beginning this can seem quite overwhelming, but once the benefits associated with being in charge start to roll in, making decisions and solving problems is much less daunting and even fun!’ states Glen Lowes, Managing Director of Complete One.

Complete One is an event marketing and sales firm based in Newcastle.  The firm help businesses reconnect with their target audience in order to increase sales and overall market share, whilst building positive customer relationships. Complete One helps the next generation of business owners access the necessary support and expand their skill set through their business development program. Should you hire experienced individuals or new graduates? Asks Complete One

With new graduates on the search for work, Complete One looks into whether a company would benefit more from experienced individuals or fresh graduates.

Complete One believes that having a mix of talents within a business can be important. The firm believes that based on the stage of a company, and its available funding, each business is unique and needs different skills to help their business grow and succeed. The firm believes that it can be beneficial to hire seasoned talent along with new graduates. The mix of young and experienced new hires will give the business a much needed platform to boost the business and benefit long term.

Complete One believes that many businesses tend to overlook graduates when it comes to hiring new talent but believes this could be a costly mistake as many graduates can bring fresh ambition and enthusiasm to a business. New ideas can help a business to grow and help motivate other team members. This fresh thinking from graduates is what Complete One believes makes them so valuable to a company.

Complete One prides itself on its fair hiring process. The firm doesn’t pre-judge anyone on education or experience and believes that businesses should hire for potential and then train these individuals to be skilled. For this reason the firm has implemented a Business Development Program into their company culture.

The program is designed to teach young business professionals the skills needed to be successful in the sales and marketing industry. These skills have also been found to be transferable to many other areas of business. By developing each individual’s skillsets it not only helps the business to grow and succeed but helps each candidate reach their full potential and hit their own aspirations. The program teaches skills such as sales, leadership, public speaking, interview techniques, financing and much more.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. The firm specialises in unique direct marketing campaigns that are designed to accurately represent their clients’ brands. By working closely with their clients the firm are able to develop highly personalised campaigns which represent the brand accurately. These campaigns are then taken directly to consumers via face-to-face marketing techniques which are proven to create long-lasting connections between brand and consumer. This often leads to increased customer acquisition, brand awareness and brand loyalty for their clients.
