MD at Complete One returns from London awards ceremony with incredible determination

Following Complete One’s attendance at an industry awards ceremony in London, Managing Director Glen Lowes has returned with incredible determination, and is ready to make 2016 a record breaking year. 

On Saturday 21st May, Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes, along with one of the firm’s top performing contractors and award nominee Jiří Holouš, travelled to London to attended the exclusive, invitation-only Black Tie Awards Gala.  Held at the 5 Star Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair, the Black Tie event was eagerly anticipated by those at Complete One, as the ceremony is the stand out event in the sales and marketing calendar. “All the hard work and effort over the last 12 months builds up to this one night,” said Glen when commenting on the event.   

The evening started off with a champagne reception on arrival, allowing attendees the chance to chat and network before the evening’s ceremony commenced.  The champagne reception was followed by a sit-down three-course dinner in the Ballroom, keynote speakers, awards and on-going entertainment. 

Awards given out on the night included: ‘Rookie Business Owner of the Year’, ‘20/20 Performance Award’, ‘Most Improved Business Owner’, and the prestigious ‘Business Owner of the Year Award’.  Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes picked up the ‘20/20 Performance Award’, which is for overall performance, recognising the great results Complete One have achieved over the last year which includes growing their client portfolio and extending their market reach.  This is the fourth year in a row that Glen Lowes has won this award, illustrating the tremendous consistency of success at Complete One. “While it was great to be given this award again, I have my eyes on the main prize and I am determined to do whatever it takes to pick up the ‘Business Owner of the Year’ award at next year’s ceremony,” said Glen Lowes speaking after his award win. One of the firm’s top performing contractors, Jiří Holouš also received an award for being one of the top 10 future business owners. 

Having heard from international guest speakers, and watching fellow business owners pick up prestigious awards, Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes left the event feeling a fresh sense of determination, and is excited to start putting into practice new goals.

Upcoming Events at Complete One




Expansion into Scotland


It's an exciting time for everyone at Complete One as we continue to set new records week upon week and our business expands. We're ecstatic to officially confirm our expansion into Edinburgh and we will commence trading on June 16th. Our Telecoms client are really excited as this expansion will bring in around an extra £1.6 million over the next coming 12 months which will take Complete One's value to our client up to £3.5 million over the financial year. It's a particularly exciting time for kirsty Pennal who will be running the project up in Scotland for us. Kirsty completed our Business Development program in only 10 short months. When Kirsty began working with Complete One she had no prior marketing or sales experience and is a perfect example of how a great student mentality and work ethic can compensate for lack of experience. Our expansion into Edinburgh will provide 6 other individuals currently working with our Newcastle office with a tremendous opportunity for development.

It' a huge first step towards our expansion goals for this year.  At the start of the year the aim was to open offices in Edinburgh and Dublin and now we're half way there.


United States Competition 


We are running a competition based on growth and sales for reps to be flown to Philadelphia to attend the US Sales Awards Seminar on June 28th with a 4 night hotel stay. Having the opportunity to meet with our US counterparts and establish new networking links will be incredibly beneficial for the lucky winners. They will also hear from some of our industries most successful people as there will be guest speakers attending the seminar. It won't all be business as they will get to visit New York on the trip.


Top Gun / Rising Star Weekend


Due the the fantastic response we received to our Winners Circle competition, and the amount of fun had last time at Alton Towers, we have decided to run a Top Gun / Rising Start weekend on May 30th-31st. The prize will include 2 nights at the winners cottage as well as 1 day at Alton towers and will also include a business seminar tailored to the 4 winners individuals needs to help them complete the Business Development program even faster than Kirsty did.

Complete One Attend The National Sales Rally 2014

At Complete One we've kicked off 2014 with a bang! We attended the National Sales Rally in London this past weekend. It's an opportunity for the people in our industry who are performing well consistently to be recognised for their achievements in 2013 by receiving an award. The ceremony was attended by over 2000 people with over 100 awards given out on the day. Complete One and our business partners were among the winners for a second year running!

Attending this rally has given everyone a great benchmark for us to work towards and ensure we beat in 2014. We are expecting to double in size in the first half of this year and expand to be trading from 4 office spaces in the UK. The rally is a great motivational tool as people are able to see with their own eyes how successful individuals can be in this business. It also creates fantastic competition as people are already taking about who's going to win the awards next year. If we thought 2013 was a good year, wait and see what 2014 will bring!

Complete One Reflect On A Successful Year




At Complete One we have been reflecting on the success we experienced over the last twelve months. The first half of 2012 we very much concentrated on laying the foundations. We began 2013 with one office in Newcastle then saw our business double in size with our expansion into Glasgow, Scotland this Summer with Karl Whittam overseeing our new project.  As our business began to expand so did our client portfolio simultaneously. We acquired a new client within the Finance sector which was a great coo as they have been voted the finance provider of the year for the past 4 years.


In October, Harley Woolf became our second success story of 2013 completing the Business Development Programme . Having Harley in a position to oversee his own project provided us with the opportunity to add to our ever growing client portfolio. In early November we acquired one of Europe's newest Online Film & Media companies. They are currently injecting millions of pounds into marketing their product and service to massively increase their brand awareness in the UK. Having previously completed a hugely successful marketing campaign for one of Europe's leaders in this sector, earlier in the year, Complete One were selected to run their sales campaign in the North East.


In statistical terms 2013 has been a tremendous year;


* We've doubled our business in size and saw a 300% growth in the number of people working with Complete One.


* 10,000 customers have been acquired for our clients


* Our turnover was £250,000


This year we travelled a lot, visiting Barcelona, Dublin, London and Waterford, setting up new networking partnerships and establishing new client relationships.

The Growth Begins







Due to the incredible success we experienced in the first 6 months of the year , exceeding company and client expectations, we have seen our flagship office in Newcastle grow as well as our client portfolio expand.  We've recently acquired one of the UK's largest Tele-communications providers. Having just branched into the Digital TV market they want Complete One to help increase their market share in the North East. The growth we have undergone and the industry giants we are working with is the reason we have been able to take the exciting steps of expanding our business into Scotland. We will be launching our new office, in Glasgow, within the next week. We chose to open in Glasgow for 2 reasons: 1) It is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in the UK, therefore it provides great opportunity for recruitment 2) The volume of people make it a great city for customer acquisition as well as exposing our clients products and services to a large audience, in turn massively raising brand awareness.  It's a huge accomplishment for everyone involved with Complete One and something we have worked towards for the last 6 months. In Glasgow we will be expanding our business into Events Based marketing campaigns. Specialising in Events/In-store promotions on behalf of our client. No matter the city or the client, our business model is easily adaptable to any place or product and that is why our form of sales and marketing is highly desirable and one of the reasons why more and more companies are turning to outsourcing the promotion and sales of their product.


Expanding into Glasgow sets the wheels in motion for our expansion plans for the rest of the year. Within the next 6 months the goal is to double our organisation in size. To double the size of a company in 6 months within the current economic climate may seem unrealistic to some, however because of the incredible people we work with and the amazing client portfolio we have the potential for personal and professional growth are limitless.
