Complete One At The Rainbow Valley Charity Ball

Managing Director Glen Lowes attended the annual Rainbow Valley Charity Ball, at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow, on Saturday November 16th . Rainbow Valley was inspired by the vision of Johanna MacVicar, who in 1994, at age 16 years was diagnosed with Leukaemia. After an 11 year battle, Johanna sadly lost her fight against the illness. Johanna’s mother, Angela, together with family & friends created the charitable organisation Rainbow Valley, to bring Johanna’s dream to fruition. The goal for Rainbow Valley is to raise £1 million over the next two years to allow for the construction of the Rainbow Valley facility, which will benefit everyone affected by cancer.

Having the opportunity to attend the ball and to see all the great work that Rainbow Valley have done so far has made me really appreciate how extremely fortunate I am for all that I have, both personally and professionally” Glen Lowes, Managing Director.

Below is the link to the Rainbow Valley website where you can find out more information on the charity and how you can help them achieve their goal of raising £1m by 2015.

Complete One Add To Our Client Portfolio

Complete One are excited to announce we have began working with a new client in our Newcastle office. They are part of the world’s third largest e-commerce company and their goal is to become Europe’s best way of experiencing high quality entertainment directly on your computer, Smart TV, tablet or game console where you will find everything from Hollywood blockbusters to indie films to old classics!. They launched their service in the UK in September. Coming into an extremely competitive market they believe they can be “a game changer”. They are currently in the middle of a multi million pound marketing campaign with TV advertisements running at prime time. In order to establish themselves in the UK they have turned to Complete One to help create massive exposure of their services in turn acquiring new customers and increasing their market share in the North East.

Having previously conducted marketing campaigns on behalf of the UK's leading provider in this sector, earlier this year, we are confident that we can use the experience gained throughout those marketing campaigns to ensure that we hit the ground running with our new client.

I feel that we've come on board at the perfect time. I am confident that our marketing and sales campaigns will be able to gain tremendous momentum from their huge advertising campaign. They are a great client to work with and they have huge goals, similar to Complete One. I am excited to add them to our portfolio and I feel this acquisition could be the launch pad to our massive growth in 2014.” ~ Managing Director Glen Lowes

Complete One's Thoughts On "The Happiness Advantage"

At Complete One we pride ourselves on being able to offer a fun and lively work environment. The type of industry we are in means it is crucial that everyone we work with is positive and happy and can fulfil their full potential each day ensuring that we get the best results for our clients. A genuine smile goes a long way when interacting with customers and having someone enthusiastically promoting the products and services of our clients is exactly what we need. For that reason we put a lot of emphasis on creating a “feel good factor” in our offices.

"I very much believe in the philosophy that if someone is happy then they will perform better, it's only natural. While meeting targets and ensuring our clients are satisfied with the service we provide is my main concern as a business owner, I like to think that everyone that works with Complete One appreciate the effort myself and my business partners put in to make our business a nurturing and welcoming working environment ensuring their individual happiness in turn allowing them to prosper both personally and professionally helping Complete One to achieve the massive expansion goals we have.” ~ Managing Director Glen Lowes.

Complete One's Latest Success Story: Harley Woolf

I grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Leeds. From a young age I had a business mind and always dreamed of being my own boss. I put my business acumen into action while at school when I set up a tuck shop hoping this would put me on track to make my millions. Unfortunately the tuck shop didn't set me up to be the next Richard Branson. Turning towards a more realistic career prospect, at the age of 16 I decided to take a job in retail in the hope of progressing through the company and work my way up the corporate ladder.

After a year and a half of working in a retail environment, having not been provided with any progression opportunities I decided that my career wasn't moving as quickly as I would have liked and so I decided to move up North, eventually settling in Newcastle. I started working with Complete One in September 2012. I quickly realised that this was the perfect company to help me achieve my big goals. People were given the opportunity to develop based on individual effort and merit rather than length of service.  Just over a year later, In October 2013, I completed the 4 stage Business Development Programme.  Looking back, I realise how far I have come in such a short time especially given the fact that I had little experience within Marketing or Sales.  I was able to transfer the skills I had acquired when working in retail and at just 20 years old I had managed, with an incredible work ethic and student mentality, to be in a position to oversee my own project.

My goal for 2013 is to head up my own campaign in Newcastle, gaining experience in Campaign Management. In the future I would like to expand into America. I have big goals and I am confident that I will achieve them thanks to the incredible group of people I work with at Complete One.

Growth at Complete One

Since our expansion into Glasgow only 10 weeks ago, we have tripled in size. We have surpassed initial expectations, acquiring over 1000 new customers for our client within the financial services sector. With Christmas right around the corner, it is expected to be our busiest time of the year. We can't grow quick enough! We want to grow our office in Glasgow and our goal is to expand our financial services division into 4 more locations throughout the UK in 2014.

How well we've been performing as a company both in Glasgow and Newcastle was recognised by Managing Director Glen Lowes being asked to be a guest speaker at the National Sales conference that was held in Glasgow last month, as pictured below.

Our Managing Director, Glen Lowes, had the opportunity to impart some of his knowledge onto individuals keen to hear his success story.

Coming to the end of 2013 we want to ensure the last Financial Quarter of the year is our most successful one.  One of the rising starts in our Newcastle office, Harley Woolf, is currently in the second week of his push to hit his targets in order to complete our Business Development Programme.  Having hit his goals in the first week, setting a new individual and crew record,   We are confident Harley will hit the target again this week.  Watch this space!

Complete One Visit Ireland

We've  just returned from our first company trip overseas. Managing Director Glen Lowes was accompanied by two of the top performers in our Newcastle office, Harley Woolf and Kirsty Pennal as picture on the plane journey below:

The purpose of the trip was to view office space for our planned expansion into Ireland in early 2014. It also provided the opportunity to test a new client which we are planning to bring to our flagship office in Newcastle later this year.  The trip wasn't all business, we had the opportunity to visit some of Ireland's most famous tourist attractions such as The Dublin Museum, Temple Bar and obviously a trip to Dublin wouldn't be complete without a visit to the famous Guinness factory. MD Glen Lowes is pictured below with one of our Irish business partners.

The trip was very successful and we are very excited about the prospect of expanding into Ireland.  The move will mean Complete One will have offices in 3 countries, with 4 offices in total, meaning we will achieve a 400% growth in just 6 months.

Watch this space for future developments.....

Upcoming Events At Complete One

We have a business trip planned for 13-16th September for Managing Director Glen Lowes and 2 of our top performers to go to Dublin. The purpose of the trip is to participate in a conference and networking events that's been set up by our business partners in Ireland. While attending the conference the trip is also an opportunity to look at the prospect of expanding our business into Dublin next year as well as trialing a new client which we are looking at bringing to Newcastle before the end of 2013.

It's competition time again! We've organised a paint-balling event in Glasgow on October 13th. We will be competing against our business partners in Dundee and Glasgow. Paint-balling always brings out people's competitive nature and we're excited to see if our guys can fly the flag for Newcastle and be victorious on the day. Paint-balling was an obvious choice because as is the case in business, to succeed it requires team work. As much as it is a competition the day is a team building exercise as it will also provide an opportunity to network with some of the top people in our industry at the moment.
