Director at Complete One in attendance for Newcastle Falcons last gasp winner

Complete One’s Glen Lowes was given VIP tickets to attend the Newcastle Falcons Vs Gloucester on Friday April 7th, as part of the firm's official sponsorship deal.

Complete One secured the sponsorship with the Newcastle Falcons in October 2016. The deal came to fruition when Mr. Lowes began exploring sponsorship opportunities within the local community to gain exposure for the Complete One brand, as well as strengthening the firm’s connection to the city of Newcastle.

One of the perks of the sponsorship deal includes VIP tickets to select games. The 4-ticket VIP package includes a three-course dinner, drinks and a meet and greet with the players. As an avid sports fan, Mr. Lowes is thrilled to have an association with the Newcastle Falcons, and has revealed the impact the sponsorship has had at the firm, stating “we’ve seen a real boost to our team spirit. We all get together to watch as many games as we can, and it has proved to be an excellent tool for team bonding. Sport has the invaluable power to unify people,” said Mr. Lowes.

As part of the company’s sponsorship package, Complete One also receive a number of other perks including; a signed shirt, hospitality tickets, a stadium announcement, company name and logo advertised on the big screen during games. Complete One’s name can also be found in the player biography sections of the match day programme, on stadium announcement’s when a player scores, on match day tickets to a game of Mr. Lowes choice, and finally they are sponsoring scrum-half Sonatane Takulua.

It was an important fixture as the Falcons, sitting in ninth place in the Aviva Premiership, took on the team one place above them, Gloucester. Gloucester looked to have sewn things up, leading 14-10 with 15 minutes to go after tries from Jonny May and Tom Marshall, both converted by Billy Twelvetrees. However, the Falcons kept fighting, and Fly-half Joel Hodgson kicked a last-gasp penalty seeing the Newcastle Falcons snatch a 16-14 victory over Gloucester at Kingston Park. The victory keeps alive the Falcons hopes of securing a place in next season's European Cup.

“It was a real battle with the Falcons showing a true never say die mentality, and playing until the final whistle. The team spirit and will to win was evident to see, and it is those same traits that we try to instil at Complete One,” said Mr. Lowes.

The partnership between Complete One and Takulua is a special and unique one. Being a Newcastle-based firm, Glen Lowes states; “we all rally around and support the Falcons, watching all the games together as a team. It brings the workforce closer together, boosting morale.” Creating a partnership between activities and business is a great combination that allows for team building and bonding, the latter being a prerequisite for building.

Bonding is the process of forming personal, friendly relationships between one another. when a comfortable bond forms between colleagues, team building will take its natural state, and the company will only enhance in its progress and productivity.  Glen Lowes has expressed the importance of positive and strong bonds within the workplace; “research has confirmed that a friendly, fun working environment increases productivity for not just the individual but the company as a whole.”

In 2016 Complete One broke the £1million turnover barrier, and now in 2017, the primary focus is to expand the Complete One brand and extend a market reach throughout the UK.
